XR20-09 Motor

Part No. 009203

The XR in-wheel series of motors are permanent magnet brushless motors with an external rotors

XR20-09

Product details

The in-wheel XR series is a permanent magnet brushless motor with an external rotor. Permanent magnet brushless motors are generally the most efficient and highest torque density motors available today

  • In-Wheel Design
  • Ultra Flat Compact Pancake Design
  • Brushless Permanent Magnet
  • Outer Rotor Configuration

The XR series gains from two distinct additional advantages: firstly the magnets are positioned on an externally running rotor which gives the motor the fundamental geometric advantage that torque is being delivered on the outer-most point of the motor, and secondly, the torque density of larger XR series is maximised by a high degree of slot fill

The high slot fill is achieved by winding each of the stator teeth individually before assembling them together into a stator

Please note that the XR20-09 motor development is part of our generic in-wheel motors range. All motors in the range have been developed for specific applications and are listed here as examples of our products and capabilities. These products are not necessarily readily available for alternate applications
